    Users upload and share many genealogy records such as Photographs, Birth Records, Newspaper Clippings, Marriage Records, Love Letters, Military Records, or Published Histories. Basically, any document which you have collected in a shoe box or file cabinet can be digitalized and stored in Filegrove.
     
  3. What file types are accepted?
    PDF, JPG, PNG, or GIF files are currently accepted.
     
  4. Where are my files stored?
    All files are uploaded from your hard drive to our servers. Your files will be securely stored using industry standard SSL technology.
     
  5. Do I have to install software on my computer?
    No, File Grove is 100% web based so your files go where you go. All you need is an internet connection. File Grove works in all web browsers.
     
  6. Is a scanner required to use Filegrove?
    No, a scanner is not required but is helpful is digitalizing files. Many libraries offer scanners which you can use if you do not own a scanner.
